Daft Punk Helmet

This vid is really neat. I would love to create one of these. I just don't have 17 months of my life to dedicate to a project such as this. If you have nothing else to do with your time, then knock yourself out!

Letter to My Love

Dear Fat Boy and a Cookie,

Words can not even began to express my apologies concerning how I have forsaken you. I can assure you, with my life as compensation, that we shall never be apart this long again. As long as I shall live...

Alexander McQueen S.S. 2010 Campaign

The new ad campaign for Alexander McQueen 2010 women's collection. In my humble opinion, poor execution on the model's behalf (Raquel Zimmermann) however the colors are captivating!! Wish I could afford anything form his 2010 Spring collection. Maybe I should call him and see if he'll send me gifts. I mean we do go back since high school right? Yeah.......I wish!

Future Fashion Moguls of America

I've had this on my mind for some time now but I think now is right for me to launch this new project I've been speculating. I call it "Future Fashion Moguls of America" and it is patented. The whole purpose of this new "campaign" is to shine some light on the people in my area that I feel possess stylish qualities that will send them sky rocketing to the tip-top point of the fashion food chain. If this becomes successful maybe I'll take some flights to interview people in other places. Some design, some drag (yesssss!), some dance, and some do nothing but shop however, they all have one commonality; they all are in the pursuit of success with the will and drive to become legendary.

It was really cold that night and in the midst of all the hectic activities that took place that day I forgot my camera (I'll make sure I bring it for our next mogul. I promise!). But i did snap a pic of us on my phone. Anywho, we met up in the over-priced (opinion) shopping center where we had Starbucks' lattes and did an interview. We proceeded with the interview that went a little something like this:

Teddy Clark: It's cold out right?
Chris Vega: Oh my gosh yes! The one night I wear some I peep-toe heels it has to be freezing outside.
TC:And they're platform too. Where'd you get them?
I got them from a thift store during Paris Fashion Week.
TC: But they're amazing. Who are they by?
CV: Thanks. Givenchy.
TC: Yes ma'am, but ok. Back on task...um. Ok. First give us some history and your relationship to me.
CV: Well my name is Chris Ador Vega, I'm 18, and I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia. I moved here when I was 3 after my mom was offered a huge job opportunity. I met you (Teddy) in middle school. You know it’s funny when you think about it, even though you despised me we ended up becoming the best of friends.
TC: Oh my gosh, I don't even remember why I hated you.
CV: For rumors you'd heard I guess.
TC:Wow. Let’s sip to immaturity.
TC:If you had to describe your style in three words what would those three words be?
CV: I would have to say....eccentric, classy, and boho-rock.
TC: Wow, you definitely just cheated.
CV: Yeah, I know!((
Chris gives a sexy smile, which makes me look past the fact she cheated)
TC:Next question. Where do you get most of your clothing inspiration and where do you shop most often.
CV: Well, I usually like to shop at thrift stores and boutiques.I don't shop at the mall often because everyone shops there. My inspiration comes from magazines, fashion blogs and sometimes just from everyday people I see.
TC: So If you were a color, what color would you be and why?
CV: If I was a color...um... if I was a color I would be...gosh I dont know what I'd be. Hold on my phone's vibrating(Teddy waits patiently for Chris to send txt message) If I were a color I'd probably be black. Yeah, I like black. Yeah! Cause black looks good on me. And if I had to choose between two colors it would be between black and white because I like black and white prints, especially zebra! And I love black and white stripes.

At this point in the interview I needed a refill. My fat ass downed that first latte like no one's business.

TC: Ok girl. Sorry about that. Big bitches gotta eat to maintain. Not like you would know. No shade. But we’re almost done here. I wish I had typed more questions.
CV: I know. We hardly ever hang out.
TC: We gotta work on that. Ok. Two more questions. When did you first become interested in fashion.
CV: Umm....I've always been interested in clothes because of my mother. She has such great style. I remember when I was younger I would wear (pauses)...well I had these crab/lobster color pants and I would try to wear them all year long. It was hilarious because those pants were so fucking ugly.(Chris was clearly embarrassed by the thought of these clothing abominations) Oh my gosh and I had this vest that was printed and made of wool that I would try to wear often as well. Everyone would tell me they were ugly but I've never really cared what people had to say about what I wore.
TC: Final question!
CV: Noooo!
TC: I know. Hahaha. What are your plans for the future as they relate to fashion.
CV: Upon graduation, I plan on attending a 2-year school to obtain an associate's degree in business and start my own boutique. If possible, hopefully in the downtown area. And if it's successful, I'll open other boutiques in major fashion capitals of the world.
TC: Well I know you'll be successful. I can't wait til we really are fashion moguls of the world.
CV: I know!!
TC: But, that concludes the interview. I love you and imma call you when I post this and.....I'll see you at the top!
CV: Ok love. Don't be tardy!

We had fun that nice. You guys don't understand how bad I want this to flourish! Maybe this could be my shoe-in to the journalism world. Idk. Here's the pic we came out with. Just a little somethin'...

I'm back!!! And more FAB then ever!!!

Ok, so it's been about two months since I've last "blogged". I had to take a moment off to get my life together. Classes and exams really hasn't allowed me the time to do so. But I'm here now! Armed and Fabulous! OH and senior projects! I did mine on style influences. Basically why people dress the way they do. I included aspects of religion, insecurities, fashion industry hype, and sexuality. Good stuff. Send me your email address to read a copy of the research paper. I also made 2 dresses and a jumpsuit as my physical product. I felt the best way to introduce my designs to the panel and spectators was to let each of my models portray a different character with different priorities, then explained how different features of their outfits and how they complemented their lifestyles. Here's a little life for you....

This is my first design worn by the character ONYX who is portrayed by the model Juquasia. Onyx is a mysterious woman with tons of sex appeal. She exudes sex appeal and has the power to captivate any being she lays eyes upon. She wearing a black jumpsuit with a corseted top with a harem-pant bottom. She's an example of poetry in motion who's petite, yet a force to be reckoned with.

CHLOE(played by the model Chris)is a sophomore in college who lives in downtown LA and is absolutely obsessed with the club scene. She's even been seen partying with the infamous Lindsey Lohan and Paris H. She's loud, fun and always the life of the party. She's wearing a blazer-dress with a bold print just as wild as her personality with hues of orange, pink, and blue. Her dress is haltered and very short suggesting.....

FRANCESCA, also known as Fancy, or in real life, Faduma, is wearing a LBD. Fancy is a young business woman who graduated college and immediately ascended the career ladder to the chief executive position of a fashion company in uptown NY city. Her dress has a pencil fitted bottom which is very professional, but also has a fringe detailing that give her dress more personality. The one strap top portion complete with a black bow gives a hint to where she's wearing this dress after she leaves the office.
